More than two years have passed since my last photo session. Something I’m not proud of and something I don’t want to happen again. But sometimes, breaks teach us valuable lessons. They remind us why we started and how much we miss what we truly love. So, with the camera in hand and the excitement of a new beginning, I stepped back into the light, ready to create new stories. This photo session was more than just a moment – it was a restart, a profound reconnection with my passion.

And there couldn’t have been a more fitting way to rekindle my passion than having my wife as the model – the most natural yet inspiring choice. The session followed a medieval aesthetic, as always, and Georgiana perfectly brought this vision to life, wearing a black dress that seemed straight out of an old tale. We chose to photograph on Muskö island, a stunning location near our home in Sweden, whose wild landscapes perfectly complemented the theme. Even the weather aligned with our idea: a dark December day, with sleet and light snowflakes falling gently, adding a melancholic and authentic atmosphere, making everything feel like part of a forgotten legend.

As if Muskö island wanted to gift us a truly magical moment, at one point, while moving between locations, we stumbled upon two majestic moose at the edge of the road. They were peacefully grazing, completely unfazed by our presence, and they looked at us with a regal indifference, as if they were the true rulers of that land. We stood there for a few moments, silently admiring them before they slowly disappeared into the trees, leaving behind only the stillness of the forest.

Although the biting cold made its presence felt, and the number of photos taken was fewer than I had hoped for, the result was more than satisfying. And this first step, after such a long pause, reconnected me with this hobby. This experience was just the beginning – a prelude to other sessions that will follow, each with its own dose of mystery, magic, and adventure.
