No one said it was easy to include animals in photo sessions. Especially a ... goat. Always stretching the neck after all the weeds that come her way and dragging you in all directions.
I suppose that Ioana was not too pleased either, but she had no choice. She endured the strength and stubbornness of the horned animal, and was even trampled with the hoof on her bare foot. But hey, we managed in the end and returned home safely, full crew. On the contrary, we had enough funny moments.
I wanted the theme to represent the medieval child together with a household animal. And the idea of the picture came quite easily. Being at home in the mountains where access to animals is easy, I thought about what could be used for the project. I started thinking of a cat, continued with birds and ended up with the neighbour’s goat. It was also simple to choose the place to go: the forest behind my house, situated at a maximum of 200 meters. It would not have been funny to take the goat too far, especially on the streets under the curious eyes of the villagers.
And how well did Ioana fit in this setting! Her rich and curly hair had caught my attention long ago, being hard to miss. I was happy for our collaboration and I hope to have this chance again in the future. Her presence could easily fit on many medieval and fantasy photography ideas.
